能美市国際交流協会は、2019年（令和元年）5月23日発足。
発足に至るまで、以前から市内にいくつかあった国際交流団体が、それぞれに活動しながら、能美市国際交流協議会を情報交換の場とし、『能美市国際交流協会』の立ち上げに向け話し合いを重ねてきたという経緯があります。
当協会の基本理念は、どこの国の方も市民のお一人として、日本人市民と同じように安心して生き生きと生活できるようにすること、そして、互いが自然に日常的に交流できるようにすることです。
そのためには、まず、きっかっけになる場やチャンスが必要です。当協会は、年間を通じて、どなたでも参加できる『きっかけづくり』のプログラムを企画しています。
ちょっと勇気がいるかもしれませんが、外国籍の方と日本人が、
「すみません。困っています。助けてください！」
「どうしましたか？ 何か手伝いましょうか。」
こんな風に言い合える関係づくりが、当協会の目指すところです。
まだまだ、残念ながら、「国際交流」が、特別な事、またそれに関わる人は特別な人だと感じている方が多いように思います。決してそうではありません。実は、「地域交流」の一つだと考えられます。
生まれた国が違っても、みんな「ひと」です。人と人、相互に、当たり前に、認め合える市民同志、隣人同士になりたいものです。
そのために何かお手伝いが必要な方は、いつでも当協会にお声をかけてくださいね。

Nomi International Exchange Association was established on May 23, 2019. Before it was established, several international exchange organizations that existed in Nomi city have been continuously exchanging information within the framework of Nomi city International Exchange Council, while running their own activities. Together they spend a lot of time discussing the making of Nomi International Exchange Association.
The fundamental belief of our Association is that everyone, regardless of their country of origin, being a citizen of Nomi, should be able to lead a peaceful and lively life just like Japanese citizens. And that foreigners and Japanese should have a chance to interact naturally with each other in their daily lives.
In order to achieve this, first of all we need a place and a chance to meet. Our Association's programs provide such opportunities available for anyone throughout the year.
Though it may call for a little courage, we aim to make relationships between foreign nationals and Japanese such that they can communicate like:
“Excuse me. I have a problem. Could you help me?”
“What happened? Is there anything I can do?”.
Unfortunately, still many consider “international exchange” and the people involved in it as extraordinary. But it is definitely not so. Actually we can think of it as just another type of “local exchange”.
Even if we were born in different countries, we are all humans. Each and everyone should be able to mutually accept others as citizens and as neighbors, and it is natural.

Saudação do Presidente
A Associação Internacional da cidade de Nomi foi fundada em 23 de maio de 2019.
Antes disso, havia vários grupos de Intercâmbio Internacional na cidade de Nomi que trabalhavam individualmente.
Durante a troca de informações com os grupos em uma reunião chamada "Conselho de Intercâmbio Internacional da cidade de Nomi", foi discutida a questão da fundação da "Associação de Intercâmbio Internacional da cidade de Nomi" (Nomi International Exchange Association, NIEA).
A ideia da Associação é valorizar os entrangeiros residentes em Nomi, independente do país de origem, para que tenham uma vida semelhante aos japoneses, com segurança e tranquilidade, interagindo naturalmente entre si em seu dia a dia. Para isso, primeiramente precisava-se de um "lugar" e uma "oportunidade". A associação organiza eventos durante o ano todo e qualquer pessoa pode participar.

ajude!” ou “O que aconteceu? O que posso fazer para te ajudar?”
Infelizmente, ainda existem muitas pessoas que acham que o “Intercâmbio Internacional” é algo “especial” e que aqueles que estão envolvidos são “especiais”. Claro que não é assim! Na verdade, podemos pensar como se fosse um “Intercâmbio Regional”.
Mesmo nascendo em países diferentes, somos todos humanos. Cada um de todos nós devemos ser capazes de aceitar naturalmente e mutuamente uns aos outros como cidadãos e vizinhos.
